What is Stable Diffusion?

Stable Diffusion is a free online latent text-to-image diffusion model that can generate high-quality, photo-realistic images based on any text input. It is easy to use and does not collect personal information. The Playground allows users to generate images quickly without requiring any coding skills.

The model is trained on the 2b English language label subset of LAION 5b, a general crawl of the internet. Images generated through it are fully open source and fall under the CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication. Most NVidia and AMD GPUs with 6GB or more can run the software.

Other related features include the Prompt Generator, ControlNet Online, and Visual ChatGPT Online. The Prompt Generator uses advanced algorithms to generate prompts that are tailored to specific needs, ControlNet introduces a method to enable models to use additional input conditions to maintain spatial consistency, and Visual ChatGPT connects ChatGPT and Visual Foundation Models for sending and receiving images during chatting.
