What users love most
  • User-Friendly Interface

Many users appreciate Floorplanner’s intuitive design, which makes it easy to start designing floor plans without much experience. The drag-and-drop functionality is especially praised on platforms like G2 and Trustpilot, where users mention that it simplifies the creation process, even for beginners.

  • Extensive Library of Furniture and Fixtures

Floorplanner provides a broad library of furniture, fixtures, and decor items, allowing users to create detailed and realistic room layouts. Reviews highlight this feature as making it easy to customize spaces with different styles, enhancing visualization for clients and personal use.

  • High-Quality 3D Visualization

The ability to seamlessly switch between 2D and 3D views is frequently praised. Many users on Capterra and Software Advice highlight that this feature adds much value by helping them better understand space dynamics and providing a realistic feel to the designs.

  • Flexible Pricing Options

Floorplanner offers a range of subscription plans, making it accessible to various users, from hobbyists to professionals. Reviewers find the free and basic tiers useful for personal projects, while businesses often opt for professional plans, which offer advanced features and export options.

  • Web-Based Convenience

As a web-based tool, Floorplanner doesn’t require installation and can be accessed from different devices. Users appreciate the convenience of working on their designs from anywhere, as long as there’s an internet connection, which adds flexibility and accessibility.

Areas for Improvement
  • Limited Export Options on Basic Plans

One commonly cited limitation is that export options, especially for high-quality images and 3D renders, are restricted in the basic plans. Users on G2 and Capterra often express that this limitation impacts the usability of professionals who may need more high-resolution exports.

  • Performance Issues with Complex Projects

Some users report that Floorplanner can slow down or lag when handling more significant, complex projects. Reviews from advanced users on Trustpilot and Capterra mention that this can be frustrating, mainly when working on intricate designs with many elements.

  • Occasional Difficulties with Scaling

While Floorplanner provides measurement tools, some users find it challenging to ensure precise scaling. Reviews indicate that measurements can sometimes be tricky to manage, and a few users have recommended improvements for more accurate and adjustable scaling options.

  • Limited Customization for Certain Features

The customization options for walls, floors, and other structural elements can feel limited for some users. Several reviews note that they would appreciate more flexibility in changing materials, colors, and textures to suit specific design preferences better.

  • Pricing for Premium Features

Though the tool has flexible pricing, some users feel that premium features are expensive, especially for occasional users. For example, the paid tiers with enhanced 3D rendering and export options are viewed as somewhat costly for hobbyists or small business users who may not need frequent access to these features.
