What is Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams is a chat-based workspace that is part of Microsoft 365 that allows teams to collaborate and communicate in real-time. It includes tools for managing chat, meetings, file sharing, team discussions, and other activities.

Teams is Microsoft’s online meeting solution, replacing Skype for Business, and includes integrated Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, SharePoint, Power BI, Delve, and Planner apps, allowing users to access and collaborate on documents from within the app.

It also allows for team customization, with tabs for frequently used documents or services, as well as connectors to third-party tools and services.

Users can hold voice and video conference calls, as well as create private chat rooms for smaller groups or one-on-one conversations.
