Experiences that collect zero-party data and boost conversions

How to create experiences that collect zero-party data and boost conversions | Tom Coburn - Jebbit

Jebbit is a platform that offers personalized and interactive experiences for marketers to understand their customers’ needs better. Here are some key takeaways from the episode:

The platform allows marketers to quickly and easily create beautiful interactive content that looks custom without spending much time or money. You can gather data directly from your customers rather than relying on third-party data sources that are becoming illegal and of poor quality.

Jebbit scales its pricing based on how many experiences are live. Next, it offers a free version for SMBs, which can also be used by Fortune 500 brands willing to learn and use the platform. The pricing depends on the level of features and support needed.

In its first eight years, Jebbit was exclusively focused on large global enterprise brands. However, the company launched a simplified version of Jebbit that was available for free. Since then, tens of thousands of small businesses have signed up. Tom shared the story of how they realized Jebbit needed a free version.

The challenges of finding product-market-fit

The company has been in business for over 10 years. However, it took them 6 years to find their identity and product market fit. They raised $3 million in the first six years and $95 million in the last 4 years. Jebbit has gone through multiple pivots over the years, as the founders realized that their original idea of incentivized marketing didn’t create genuine connections between brands and consumers.

The company focused on collecting zero-party data, which the consumer willingly gives through forms, surveys, quizzes, etc., and includes specific information such as how many times a year they snowboard and with whom.

The challenge was to keep the team energized, motivated and focused on the bigger picture while figuring out what product to build next. Jebbit is now focused on improving its product and working with more brands to provide amazing customer value. They believe they have the best product for their niche and are receiving positive customer feedback.
