What is Infinity maps?
Infinity Maps is a visual knowledge management and mapping tool that combines elements of mind mapping, concept mapping, whiteboards, and wikis. It runs in the browser and lets you build “Deep Knowledge Maps” for organizing research, projects, and documentation with an infinite zoom interface. The product is based on the iMapping method and is offered as a cloud service, with an option for local installation for enterprise teams.
Work happens on an infinite canvas using Cards that hold text, images, and files, which you can nest to create hierarchies and connect to show relationships. Zooming lets you switch between big-picture overviews and detailed content without losing context, and presentation mode supports communicating complex topics. Typical uses include training and workshop planning, knowledge bases, coursework and research, and long-running project documentation.
Collaboration features include real-time co-editing, private maps by default, public or unlisted sharing, and role-based permissions for viewing, editing, or admin access. Maps can be exported as JSON, and templates and tutorials help new users get started.
For security, Infinity Maps is developed and hosted in Germany with SSL, HSTS, encrypted storage, and a private cloud architecture.
