Bring all of your reviews into one place
In this episode of the Tekpon SaaS Podcast, host Cristian Dina welcomes Adrian Balcan, founder and CEO of FeedCheck, a business solution designed for consumer brands. FeedCheck focuses on aggregating customer reviews from various platforms like Amazon, Walmart, and other marketplaces, enabling companies to have all their reviews centralized in one place. This aggregation facilitates more accessible analysis, reaction to feedback, comparisons with competitors, and actions to improve reputation and grow the business.
Adrian elaborates on the primary problems FeedCheck aims to solve, highlighting companies’ difficulty collecting and distributing valuable customer feedback. Before FeedCheck, many companies had employees manually copy and paste reviews into spreadsheets—a time-consuming and impractical process. FeedCheck automates this tedious task, allowing companies to focus on more strategic activities. Furthermore, once reviews are aggregated, FeedCheck provides robust analytics and benchmarking tools, which help brands identify and prioritize common issues, track trends, and respond effectively to negative and positive feedback.
Cristian also inquires about FeedCheck’s ideal customers. Adrian describes them as large brands with multiple products distributed across various stores and platforms. These brands typically face the challenge of managing vast reviews, sometimes amounting to millions, and thus require sophisticated search optimization and data handling capabilities.
The founding story of FeedCheck
Adrian recounts the company’s origin story, which began in 2014 with a collaboration with Vector Watch, a local smartwatch company later acquired by Fitbit and Google. This collaboration revealed the need for centralized customer reviews and marked the beginning of FeedCheck. Starting as a bootstrap business with minimal resources, Adrian and his team faced several challenges, particularly maintaining motivation and securing initial paying customers.
Reflecting on the journey, Adrian highlights resilience and constant learning as critical factors in overcoming challenges. He advises aspiring founders to stay motivated, follow experienced mentors, and maintain realistic expectations without losing the drive that fosters innovation.
