How to turn your content into revenue

How to turn your content into revenue | Alex Shevelenko - RELAYTO

The latest episode of the Tekpon SaaS Podcast features an enlightening conversation between the host, Cristian Dina, and Alex Shevelenko, the founder and CEO of RELAYTO. In this episode, Alex shares his insights on transforming static content into engaging, revenue-generating experiences, leveraging AI, and much more.

What does Relayto do?

Alex begins by introducing RELAYTO and its mission to convert traditional, static documents like PDFs and videos into dynamic, interactive experiences. This transformation is powered by AI, making it accessible and efficient for business content creators to produce extraordinary experiences without extensive technical skills.

Alex identifies two fundamental problems that RELAYTO addresses for companies. Traditional formats like PDFs are outdated and fail to engage modern audiences, especially on mobile devices. And while websites offer more interactive experiences, they are costly and time-consuming to build, especially in regulated industries. RELAYTO simplifies this by providing tools to easily convert existing documents into interactive formats.

Alex Shevelenko’s story

The inspiration for RELAYTO came from Alex’s career, which spanned roles at Microsoft, as a consultant, and later as a B2B marketer. His experiences highlighted the need for more engaging ways to present complex ideas. Initially starting as an agency, RELAYTO transitioned to a SaaS model, focusing on making it easy for power users of tools like PowerPoint and Word to create web-like experiences without needing design skills. Today, the team has grown to over 15 people, with hubs in the U.S. and Latvia, maintaining a global and distributed approach.

When asked about his favorite software besides RELAYTO, Alex talks about the role of AI tools in enabling non-native English speakers to produce high-quality content and streamlining processes. AI is also integrated into RELAYTO, making it a crucial part of their strategy.

Alex shares his personal journey, from moving to the United States as a refugee from Ukraine to realizing the impactful mission of enabling sophisticated storytelling for important ideas. This broader mission, he believes, helps keep the team motivated.

As the episode wraps up, Alex plugs his own podcast, “Experience Focused Leaders,” which features multimedia content turned into ebooks—coined as Pod Books. He praises Tekpon’s work and looks forward to future engagements.

This episode provides valuable insights into how businesses can leverage AI and innovative content formats to better engage audiences, optimize content consumption, and ultimately drive revenue. Alex Shevelenko’s expertise and passion for solving these challenges offer a compelling look at the future of content creation and distribution.
