Hive Project Management
Looking for a project management tool that helps your team move faster? We have a product for you! It’s called Hive project management, and we’re about to review it. We all know that over the last decade, productivity has been the subject of multiple decisions. People and businesses have been wondering what impacts their efficiency at work the most. Bookshelves are filled with self-help books, and the Internet is flooding with articles and podcasts on productivity. Love it or hate it, we have to admit that productivity is a need of the hour. Yet, it is resent almost everywhere we go. In the same way, modern businesses require their employees to be productive and look for solutions.
One of the excellent ways to do so is by choosing and implementing the right kind of software that would help optimize and automate work and, at the same time, suits one’s business needs. Project and task management, communication and collaboration, and time tracking or activity monitoring are the most common tools. But trying to use it all at once can be challenging. Moreover, controlling all the tools may be physically impossible. But using just one is not enough.
So why not use all-in-one? Hive, the software solution we will review today, may be the right solution.
But is Hive software worth it? Let’s go further with this review and find out!
What is Hive software used for?
First, the platform Analytics offers three dashboards that give users insights into team productivity. These dashboards can summarize personal and workspace productivity, identifying inefficient areas and allowing managers to find ways to rectify them. In addition, the system sends out real-time notifications that alert users about what is happening with a project. Moreover, another benefit of Hive is that users can use time-tracking. Hive comes with everything a team needs to work on their projects in one digital place.
Setting up the account is always easy and looks almost the same for every software. In Hive, there are eight steps you need to go through:
- In Hive, you can sign in with Google, Slack, or the traditional way by providing your first and last name, phone, email, and password.
- Then, you create a workspace and add the name of your organization and its size – 1-10, 11-100, 100+.
- The next step is to add example projects. For example, you can choose from Content Calendar. New hire onboarding, Product roadmap, Agile development, Strategic Plan, and Client project.
- After that, you can choose how you want to message your team. For example, you can use Hive messaging or the app you and your team are already using.
- Create your first project.
- Write three actions that you will add to your project.
- Invite your colleagues (or do it later).
- Connect your file storage to Hive – Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, or One Drive (or you can do it later).
Hive Features Explained
This one is an extraordinary tool that excels as a popular project management solution, thus, offering numerous features and benefits to its users. Here are some of them:
Boost Flexibility
Every workplace has its protocols and methods to ensure easy processes. As a result, users will have the flexibility to plan their projects in Hive. Whether you prefer using Gantt charts and tables or Kanban boards and calendar applications, this software can accommodate your preferred format. In addition, all project views reflect updates so that all team members are on the same page at all times.
Action Templates
For repetitive tasks, Hive provides automation through action templates by which such can be planned and repeated with ease. Users can lay out all the steps necessary to accomplish a task in an action template, which people can reuse to reassign tasks if needed.
Task Completion
Users can access all data required to complete a task by assigning members, creating sub-actions, attaching files, and setting dependencies using action cards. In addition, individual team members can be commented on and mentioned, allowing others to track each action’s progress. Multiple views are possible with the tool, allowing users to view projects by team member, labels, or current status. Summary views are also available, combining projects and providing a view of the big picture.
Organize Projects
People will better organize their projects by creating their very own to-do lists. For example, they can create a list of all assignments across projects, allowing you to view all items and their due dates. Hive also comes with forms that allow collecting data relevant to your project. This eliminates the need to use emails and can be sent out to customers.
Improve Communication & File Sharing
As users cannot undermine the role of communication, the vendor saw that Hive provides the best messaging feature possible. With this functionality, users can directly converse with individuals or groups. Integrations with third-party apps such as Slack and Zoom are also possible. In addition, work can be streamlined by connecting the app with one’s Dropbox, Box, or Google Drive account for those who need to share files.
Predictive Analytics
Hive Analytics offers an interactive dashboard that works based on machine learning. Thus people will get insights into how each project is working. This helps you identify the strengths and weaknesses of members’ workflow, identify what tasks affect your team’s productivity, and find which parts of your workflow are inefficient. On the other hand, real-time notifications keep all members in the loop regarding problems in productivity, making sure complications such as overbooking and late projects are avoided.
Integrations
Hive offers integrations with other tools to help you improve and manage your projects. These integrations are essential in project management tools because they connect project data across the team. Some of the integrations that are offered are listed below:
- Google Drive
- Slack
- Salesforce
- OneLogin
- Gmail

- OneDrive

Hive is a great project management and collaboration software that allows people to collaborate better on projects. With Hive, people will access all the information and projects your team is working on. Moreover, with Hive, you can automate your tasks and work and even improve collaboration with other team members. As for the tool’s name, imagine it is like a hive where all the bees have their place and can have the big picture of what is happening with each project.
Of course, there are a lot of great tools in the market, as I said, but only one will fit your needs. And if you think that from this review, Hive could be your match tool, then you should give it a try! To close the review, it looks good if you want to compare Hive with other projects. It’s not the best one, but it’s doing what it is saying it does.
