What is Monk?

Monk is an AI-native invoice-to-cash platform for B2B companies. It submits invoices into corporate accounts payable portals, runs collections through an AI agent, and applies incoming cash automatically, on top of the ERP a company already uses.

Cash application matches incoming payments to open invoices using three layers: deterministic matching, user-defined rules, and language models for edge cases. Monk says it matches 80% of payments automatically, rising to 95% once suggested rules are enabled, and every unmatched payment is flagged with the reason it failed.

Collections run through Julia, Monk’s agent for Intelligent Collections, which reads the conversation on each account instead of following a fixed dunning sequence. According to Monk, it resolves 90% of collections with no human intervention and gets a 24% higher response rate than standard dunning.

Monk also submits invoices into more than 600 corporate AP portals, including Coupa, Ariba and SAP Business Network, and files 87% of them without a person involved. The company reports that 92% of the enterprise invoices it handles must go through a portal rather than being paid from an emailed invoice.

Monk reports a 40% average reduction in DSO for its customers, around 26 hours saved per month, and more than $2 billion in receivables managed. The platform is SOC 2 Type II compliant, and onboarding takes less than a week. It is used by finance, operations and revenue teams in industries including manufacturing, logistics, staffing, and wholesale and distribution.
