After signing in, the dashboard is minimalistic, clean & intuitive. First, the current UI and UX updates converted the three-column layout to a clean-looking two-column design and picked different colors.

Second, the left column is where the documents tree, collections, search, templates are. Basically, it is now converted into a navigation menu, where you can easily find everything you need. Third, when first opening the account, you will be welcomed by two documents: “Getting started” & “What can you use it for?”. Publish mode is automatically activated after you set up the domain. This means that any update you make needs to be published on your doc site.

By default, the collection is public and does not have any authentication method. Still, ArchBee provides some so you can choose and set:

  • Collection-wide password
  • Guest accounts, where you need to create email and password combos for each user
  • JWT with a secret key – this method will require developer time

  • Workspaces

Suppose you are a freelancer or have multiple projects you are involved in. In that case, ArchBee gives you the possibility to create more than one workspace. This way, you can be in all places at the same time.

As for the access control, there are 3 default user groups:

  • Team members – contribute to all shared spaces
  • Administrators – invite & remove team members, create user groups, setup permissions to spaces, setup subscription and payment info
  • Superadmin – is usually the workspace creator and is the only one with the right to assign administrators
